V. J. Edgecombe Debuts "Tie-Dye" adidas Anthony Edwards 2
Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball continue to leave their mark on-court and across culture. For their latest effort, the partnership has revisited a pastel tie-dye color scheme on the Anthony Edwards 2.
Originally made specifically for the 3Stripes Select Basketball circuit, the similar "3SSB" Anthony Edwards 1 eventually released to the public after much fanfare. It seems Edwards and the sportswear juggernaut are revisiting the abstract makeover for the AE 2, although it's abandoning the "3SSB" association.
Akin to its predecessors, the colorful adidas Anthony Edwards 2 features a seemingly-random color application across its performance-first build. Textile components indulge in a tie-dye-friendly medley, while the plastic pieces overlaid on the upper favor soft shades of purple and peach. Nevertheless, all components come together to make one of Edwards' more attention-grabbing sneakers.

Valdez Drexel "V. J." Edgecombe Jr. of the Philadelphia 76ers debuted the "Tie-Dye" AE 2 against the New York Knicks during the 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead. The colorful basketball shoe will release in celebration of the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game on Satuday, July 25. The sneaker launches via adidas.com in sizing for Adults and Kids.
