Adidas Presents "Illuminated," A New Docu-Series Sharing Intimate Looks at Athletes' Support Systems

There's a saying that goes, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with company." A similar sentiment is at the core of "Illuminated," a new docu-series by Adidas.

Set to debut via its official YouTube Channel on Friday, April 18, the multi-part series will share intimate, behind-the-scenes looks at different athletes' support systems—crucial relationships that help competitors remember "You Got This." Audiences will get a chance to see moments before, after, and during play that help athletes remain positive and level-headed even in difficult situations.

The first episode stars Anthony Edwards and his best friend, Nick Maddox.

Edwards and Maddox met in high school and have been virtually inseparable since. The duo has been pivotal to several campaigns for the Adidas AE 1 basketball shoe, with the Minnesota Timberwolves star even gifting his friend a special "Blue Burst" pair of the popular design. Details are still under wraps, but it's likely Maddox helps Edwards and the rest of the Adidas Basketball team in marketing the highly-anticipated AE 2 sequel as well.

Other episodes of "Illuminated" star Aitana Bonmatí, Rebeca Andrade, and Mikaela Shiffrin, among others.

Stay tuned to the Adidas YouTube Channel to catch every episode of the docu-series. Head over to Adidas.com right now to shop gifts for your own support system.
