adidas is linking back up with Milwaukee’s Eric “Shake” James for 414 Day, delivering a new take on the Samba with the adidas Samba “View Finder.”
The project continues Shake’s work through his SNEEX boutique, using the silhouette as a platform to highlight Milwaukee’s identity. The design draws from aerial views of the city’s north and south sides, translating that perspective into subtle visual cues across the shoe. A cream-based palette references Milwaukee’s “Cream City” roots, while directional details nod to the city’s east, west, north, and south sides. A viewfinder graphic on the tongue ties into the concept, framing the sneaker as a lens into the city.

The release also connects directly to Milwaukee’s cultural calendar. Developed alongside Visit Milwaukee and Summerfest, each pair includes access to Summerfest 2026, linking the product to the city’s largest annual event.
The launch aligns with 414 Day, Milwaukee’s annual celebration of local pride. To mark the occasion, Shake and adidas Cornerstone Community are hosting a series of activations across the city, including a youth sneaker customization workshop and an in-store launch event. The ongoing partnership between adidas Cornerstone Community, Shake, and JAY Academy continues to focus on youth opportunity and community investment.
The adidas Samba “View Finder” will release on April 11 exclusively through SNEEX in Milwaukee and online via Sneex’s site, priced at $140.
