The Women's Adidas Taekwondo Mei might not boast the same popularity as other models from the Originals catalog, but the silhouette has slowly built a cult-following with its design and plethora of color schemes. Soon, the retro trainer will be available in an elegant "Black Floral" makeover, expanding its presence as a fashionable offering.
Built with similar DNA as Bad Bunny's Ballerina collaboration, the Taekwondo Mei launched years ago as a sleek performance model. Its new life as an it girl's go-to footwear choice has seen it take on a healthy mix of tonal and more complex makeovers. The latest floral-embroidered option falls in line with a previously-seen Taekwondo and Tokyo duo as it dons "Gold Metallic" accents throughout its mixed-materials upper. The Mei's signature de-coupled sole unit keeps things traditional with its gum brown finish, allowing for the shoe's top-half to revel in the spotlight.
The women's Taekwondo Mei "Black Floral" is expected arrive to Adidas.com by June for $100. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the pair below.
