The 2026 World Cup™ is inching closer. adidas has already unveiled all kits for its sponsored national football teams participating in the tournament, but it's decided to release another Bringback Collection to honor some iconic federation designs from the past.
Part of an ongoing effort, the latest batch of retro jerseys celebrate the football heritage of five different nations: Germany, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, and Japan. Previous Bringback efforts have seen jerseys for Argentina and Mexico return in 1-to-1-form, serving a dose of nostalgia. Jerseys for the aforementioned European countries and Japan are no different. The oldest design in the lineup remembers the 1986 World Cup™ in Mexico—specifically Belgium's Home shirt. Other tournament shirts in the Bringback capsule include:
- Germany Away Jerseys 1990, 1994 & 2014
- Japan Home Jersey 1993 Long Sleeve
- Germany Home Jerseys 1994 & 2006; Women’s 2007 Home Jersey
- Spain Home Jersey 1994
- Sweden Home Jersey 1994

The Three Stripes has tapped current players from some of the aforementioned national football teams to model some of the Bringback jersey designs—including Florian Wirtz (Germany) and Amadou Onana (Belgium).
Some designs are accompanied by matching shorts and track tops. Additionally, some are also reconstructed as fashionable styles for women, making for lifestyle-friendly fanwear.
It's no surprised that a handful of different retro shirts for the Germany national football team have been included as part of this project given that the organization will no longer wear the Three Stripes as of 2027, as it's switched to Nike.
