Yohji Yamamoto's Adidas Y-3 Presents the Regu Mary Jane for Spring 2025
The Adidas Y-3 imprint continues to reimagine classic footwear styles from the expansive Three Stripes Archives in refreshing ways only Yohji Yamamoto could. Part of its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which partly draws from the idea of quantum entanglement (permanent, space and time-defying bonds), the Regu Mary Jane is the latest example of the Japanese designer's mastery.
Unveiled to the world with the help of Petra Collins and Moni Haworth, longtime creative collaborators, Y-3's offering arrives in the midst of Adidas' own forays into the balletcore aesthetic. Styles like the Stan Smith Low Ballet and Taekwondo Mei Ballet breathe new life into classic designs from the Originals catalog. The Regu Mary Jane by Yamamoto elevates the Women's-exclusive silhouette, bringing together premium materials with a chunkier segmented outsole and reinforced accents throughout the upper.
Adidas' Adizero line took first place amongst male runners in the recent Tokyo Marathon. Today, famed Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has unveiled his latest Y-3 collaboration with the Three Stripes' performance-running series.
Prepped in time for the full swing of spring and summer training and racing, the Adizero Running collection by Y-3 stars a number of apparel and footwear items. In the latter group, Yamamoto shares fashion-forward takes on the Adios Pro 4 marathon racer and Adios 9 training model. Tigst Assefa, the former world record holder for the women's marathon, has been featured in campaign material for the range of products, which boast color palettes signature to Yamamoto and Adidas' seasonal efforts.
The Y-3 Regu Mary Jane launches alongside an expansive range of products that also features the Regu Boot, dresses, tops, and accessories. Campaign material for the latest drop was captured by Haworth and includes "different versions" of Collins to harken back to the idea of quantum entanglement.
Pairs of the Regu Mary Jane are currently available via Adidas.com for $280. The traditional Regu sneaker is also available in new colorways, alongside other apparel and accessories by Yamamoto's imprint.
