Los Angeles-based brand Brain Dead is getting into the 2026 World Cup™ spirit. After launching a football-inspired capsule with adidas Originals in mid-December 2025, the imprint is doubling down on "the beautiful game" as muse. This time, however, the label is teaming up with the Three Stripes and Disney.
The three-way collaboration between Brain Dead, adidas, and Disney consists of multiple apparel and accessories options, as well as a Predator 94 Dress Shoe. All items in the collection blends performance heritage, pop culture, and a streetwear stamp of approval, resulting in handfuls of products that'll be right at home during any World Cup™ viewing and beyond.
What's particularly special about Brain Dead's latest project with the Three Stripes is that the football kit-informed designs reference the first-ever collaboration between adidas and Disney. As mentioned in our "26 of the Best adidas Superstar Collaborations of All-Time" feature, the Three Stripes originally worked with The Walt Disney Company in the 1980s on a "Goofy Sport" capsule. Similar graphics to that now-defunct label appear across Brain Dead's lineup—including Goofy dribbling a football on the sleeve of a yellow, green, and black jersey.

Furthermore, jerseys within the impending capsule harken back to the early 1990s—specifically adidas' use of an EQT template for domestic clubs and national football teams alike.
Launched in 1991 and seen up until Summer 1994, just before that year's World Cup™ in the U.S., the adidas EQT template for football kits was celebrated by fans of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal, and other institutions for their boldness. Large 3-Stripes branding consumes the right shoulder and part of the accompanying sleeve, as well as the matching shorts' left leg. Brain Dead has employed rich color combinations that should pique consumer interest due to their similarities to the colors worn by Mexico, U.S.A./France, and Jamaica national football teams.
All items in the football-inspired collection by Brain Dead feature branding from all three collaborators. Graphics of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy claim real estate throughout the designs.

Similar to the Three Stripes' own 1994 World Cup™ retro collection, the Brain Dead project inadvertently commemorates the last time the United States of America hosted a World Cup™ tournament. Disney, a mainstay within U.S. pop culture, helps the L.A.-based brand and German sportswear company transcend sport amongst casual fans of the beautiful game.
Expect scarves, socks, and other fanwear items to drop before the summer event kicks off on Thursday, June 11.
