CLOT Reworks the adidas Samba Espadrille for Football Season

CLOT and adidas Originals are stepping back onto the pitch, but not in the traditional sense.

The two brands have reunited for a new adidas Originals x CLOT Samba Espadrille by Edison Chen collection, pairing football heritage with CLOT’s long-running East-meets-West design language. Arriving in three colorways — Classic Black, Grass Green, and Floral Pink — the release continues CLOT’s ongoing exploration of the Samba, this time with a stronger lifestyle lens and a full Football Club capsule built around it.

The footwear remains centered on the Samba’s familiar shape, but CLOT shifts the feel through texture. Each pair features an espadrille-inspired woven midsole, gold tongue branding, a classic suede T-toe, and mixed-material construction. The Classic Black pair keeps things sharp with lightweight nylon and high-contrast detailing, while Grass Green leans directly into the pitch with a colorway built around football’s most recognizable setting.

The Floral Pink pair takes a softer turn, swapping nylon for premium leather and pairing its pastel finish with the Samba’s familiar low-profile build. It’s the most unexpected of the three, bringing a more natural, summer-ready energy to a silhouette typically rooted in terrace culture.

Alongside the sneakers, CLOT is also launching its Football Club Capsule Collection, an apparel range developed entirely by the brand. The capsule pulls from the same Classic Black, Floral Pink, and Grass Green palette, spanning jerseys, shorts, T-shirts, and lightweight outerwear.

Rather than treating “FC” as a strict football reference, CLOT uses the collection to expand the idea into something more cultural. Rose motifs, dragon graphics, custom club crests, and “MMIII” nods to the brand’s 2003 founding year appear throughout, turning classic football codes into lifestyle pieces built for summer.
