Pokémon x adidas Originals 30th Anniversary Collection Drops September 1

The Pokémon universe began on February 27, 1996, and has since grown into one of the world’s most recognizable franchises, spanning video games, animation, trading cards, events, and more.

With the franchise celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, adidas is joining the occasion with an expansive footwear collection expected to arrive during the Fall/Holiday season.

Thirteen pairs have surfaced so far, drawing from several generations of Pokémon and a wide mix of adidas silhouettes. Pikachu leads the collection with three Superstar releases, while Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard each receive their own take on the shell-toe model.

Elsewhere, Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar appear across the Adistar range, Rayquaza takes over the Megaride F50, and Mewtwo rounds out the lineup with the Samba OG and ZX 8000.

The collection currently includes:

- adidas Megaride F50 “Rayquaza”
- adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 “Gengar”
- adidas Adistar Control 5 “Gastly”
- adidas Superstar II “Charmeleon”
- adidas Superstar Vintage “Charizard”
- adidas Superstar II “Charmander”
- adidas Superstar II Mid “Pikachu”
- adidas Superstar II “Pikachu” — Yellow
- adidas Superstar II “Pikachu” — White
- adidas Samba OG “Mewtwo”
- adidas Spezial “Mewtwo”
- adidas ZX 8000 “Mewtwo”

Character graphics, themed color schemes, textured materials, Poké Ball lace accessories, and custom branding appear throughout the footwear. Apparel and accessories across adult and youth sizing are also expected to accompany the release.

PUMA and Crocs have also been collaborators for the Nintendo property, bringing Pikachu and other starter Pokémon to footwear form. Expect special packaging and in-store activations for the occasion.
