UPDATE 11.13.25 It turns out that the hunch of Sneaker Politics' next project with the Three Stripes being within the Adistar family was true: the "Red Snapper" collaboration reimagines the Adistar HRMY (read: "Harmony") in a numerous shades of red. According to the boutique, the fish inspiration is rooted in "one of Louisiana’s core livelihoods."

ORIGINAL STORY Sneaker Politics and Adidas Originals have been serving story-driven footwear collaborations for years. With Holiday 2025 fast approaching, the longtime partners have teased a "Red Snapper" project.

Scheduled to launch on Saturday, Nov. 22, the footwear collab was recently teased on Instagram. The first hint at the impending link-up simply shows a boat in the middle of the ocean, whereas the second teaser visual is a close-up of the pair's co-branded footbed. Other bits of the sneaker can be seen in the background of the image, suggesting that Derek Curry and team's canvas is within the Megaride family of shoes. It's also possible Sneaker Politics will help promote the Adistar Control 5, a sneaker that's being positioned as the Three Stripes next it shoe. It's important to note that the red-colored, fish-inspired collab includes Adidas Performance branding on the insole, confirming the model at hand has a performance past; this differs from the Trefoil logos found on lifestyle and old school designs like the Adidas Samba.

Stay tuned for more details of the "Red Snapper" project by Sneaker Politics. While you wait, check out everything that's available right now on Adidas.com.
