The adidas Samba has long earned its spot within the pantheon of sneakers. As the brand's oldest silhouette in continuous production, the 77-year-old design has undergone several changes throughout the years, with its latest Mule update looking to take over summer.
Breathability and comfort-oriented tweaks to the Samba aren't anything new, but the newly-surfaced Samba Mule is one of the Three Stripes' most-concerted efforts of recent memory. Currently offered exclusively in Women's sizing, the modified icon features the sneaker's general shape, but with woven profile panels and a mule opening at the heel. These changes result in a footwear style that's rooted in football heritage, modern trends, and experimental construction.
The adidas Originals team will surely reimagine the Women's Samba Mule in a number of styles over the next several months. Thus far, versatile "Crew White," "Off White/Preloved Brown," and "Night Indigo" pairs have surfaced.
Enjoy detailed shots of the reworked Samba ahead. Pairs should begin rolling out via adidas.com soon.
