Radric Delantic Davis—best known to the world as "Gucci Mane"—has been running things for ages, demonstrating just how far you can go when an ambitious dream meets consistent work and discipline. Although the Atlanta-based entrepreneur continues to stay true to his stage name with designer gear in his wardrobe, he knows the importance of comfort; on this end, the 1017 Records-frontman keeps a few HOKA® pairs in rotation.
Today, Gucci Mane has helped the industry-disrupting expert in comfortable footwear unveil a new campaign with Foot Locker. Dubbed "Right Shoe, Wrong Gucci," the spot celebrates the fan-favorite Bondi 7 in its street-ready "Stealth/Tech" makeover.
The link-up's campaign video sees the Gucci Mane walk into a Foot Locker on a search for a pair of new, comfortable sneakers. The black-and-silver pair by HOKA® catches his attention. Two Foot Locker Stripers, who could easily be mistaken for the Atlanta pioneer, guide him through his purchase, communicating exclusively in the artist's signature ad libs.

The spot ends with Gucci Mane uttering his iconic "Guwop!" ad lib after acknowledging that the two Foot Locker Stripers that've been helping him out are his doppelgängers. The concept central to “Right Shoe, Wrong Gucci" is a playful nod to chatter that went viral across social media in the last few years, likening NBA referee James Williams to the rapper and music executive.
Gucci Mane's selection of the HOKA® Bondi 7 makes total sense. Introduced in 2020 as a top-of-the-line performance model for diehard runners, the silhouette's plush padding and all-day comfort quietly won over casual wearers. The brand noticed consumer response to their design and decided to reintroduce the cushioned sneaker as a lifestyle/walking model years later.
The "Stealth/Tech" pair co-signed by Gucci Mane features a two-tone style built with the same comfort that made the Bondi 7 a hit six years ago. Its reflective waves design, however, makes it stand out amongst the pack—in particular at night—cementing the HOKA® offering at the intersection of sport, style, and music.
