Ronaldinho's Golden Nike Tiempos Might've Inspired This Air Jordan 1 Low
The Air Jordan 1 celebrated its milestone anniversary in 2025, but the silhouette continues to form an important part of the Nike, Inc. product catalog well into the new year. For its latest ensemble, Peter Moore's iconic design has taken on a low-top form and golden color scheme that might've been inspired by a pair of boots Ronaldinho wore 20 years ago.
For the uninformed, the Brazilian footballing legend has long been an admirer of Michael Jordan and his eponymous label. Years ago, both figures met in a brief moment touted as "10 Meets 23," a nod to both athletes' iconic jersey numbers. More recently, the ex-FC Barcelona star has helped Travis Scott—Jordan Brand's marquee lifestyle collaborator—promote Nike Football.
Outside of these ventures, Jordan Brand's design team might've looked to Ronaldinho's career for inspiration on a number of products—including the newly-surfaced Air Jordan 1 Low.

During the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, 'dinho wore an eye-catching pair of the Nike Tiempo football boots. The gold-and-white style featured special "R10" branding, which further cemented the Brazilian star as the franchise's face.
Now, the newly-surfaced Air Jordan isn't a one-to-one recreation of the 20-year-old Tiempo; in fact, the retro is devoid of any overt acknowledgment of Ronaldinho and the Nike Football design. And yet, the semblance is enough to make the connection, especially considering it's a World Cup™ year.
Jordan Brand's latest low-top sees a removable elongated tongue that sees a Jumpman badge placed in the center. The same logo is debossed on the standard tongue. A shimmering golden finish takes over the bulk of the sneaker's upper, with white interrupting via profile swooshes and other details as it did on the aforementioned Tiempos. Underfoot, the made-for-basketball outsole sees a semi-translucent gum presentation that is sure to win audiences over.
