Though it’s long left the hardwood of the NBA, the Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan 4 has continuously carried Jordan Brand’s roster, cementing itself as one of — if not the — best basketball shoes of all-time. With their 2025 calendar stacked with more than 15 launches, the Air Jordan 4 is set to repeat that performance in 2026. Another 15 new Jordan releases are already scheduled across men’s, women’s, and kids’ sizing, reinforcing the silhouette’s position as one of the brand’s most commercially and culturally important models.
Nigel Sylvester’s Influence Carries Forward
Headlining the year is Nigel Sylvester’s follow-up to 2025’s “Brick By Brick” Air Jordan 4, arriving in a Fire Red-esque “Sail/Cinnabar” execution. Last year’s release was more than a collaboration — it signaled Sylvester’s expanding power under Michael Jordan’s eponymous brand. His ability to merge BMX culture, storytelling, and wearable design translated into both strong sell-through and sustained aftermarket demand. The project demonstrated how a collaborator can move beyond hype and meaningfully shape the legacy model's direction, and he did it across multiple Jumpman models, including the Air Jordan 1 Low.
That momentum now carries into 2026, with the sequel expected to command similar attention.
