
Kids' Air Jordan 3 "Platinum Tint Flip" Retro Expected February 2027
The Air Jordan 3 is inching closer to its 40th anniversary, a milestone occasion that's sure to bring out all the stops from Michael Jordan's eponymous label. Before then, the silhouette is expected to launch in a "Platinum Tint Flip" makeover as part of the brand's February 2027 plans.
The news has been reported by X user @zSneakerHeadz and arrives as handfuls of Air Jordan retros for 2027 have been confirmed through authorized and unauthorized photos. According to the initial report, the light-colored AJ3 will be a Big Kid-exclusive (Grade School), allowing small-footed sneaker enthusiasts to enjoy the experimental take on Tinker Hatfield's design from 1988.
Clad in a "Platinum Tint/Multi-Color" color scheme, the Air Jordan 3 retro follows in the footstep's of 2007's original "Flip" release. This concept takes the model's iconic elephant print and applies it to the bulk of the upper instead of isolating it to forefoot and heel overlays like on the standard edition of Hatfield's creation. Shimmering Jumpman logos and eyelets are also expected on the Kids' sneaker, creating a versatile footwear style with some flair.
Stay tuned for official product shots ahead of the"Platinum Tint Flip" pair's release, which is currently anticipated to be Saturday, Feb. 13, 2027, a day before Super Bowl LXI. The sneakers should launch via Nike.com/Jordan.
