Marcus Jordan has announced that he is stepping away from Trophy Room, bringing an end to a decade-long run at the helm of the Jordan family-inspired retailer.
“Note”Marcus Jordan Statement. In a statement shared on June 1, Jordan revealed that he has decided to “pause & step away” from his role at Trophy Room to focus on new opportunities both professionally and personally. He thanked customers, partners, and supporters who helped shape the brand over the past ten years.
The announcement also confirms that Jordan will retain ownership of the Trophy Room trademark and intellectual property as the business undergoes a transition. According to the statement, the brand will move away from its brick-and-mortar roots and continue as an online-only operation under a different brand identity.
Founded in 2016, Trophy Room quickly became one of the most recognizable names in sneaker retail, building its reputation through a close relationship with Jordan Brand and a series of highly sought-after collaborations. The partnership began with the Air Jordan 23 in Black and an ultra-limited White/Gold edition, followed by the Air Jordan 16 “French Blue” later that year. Trophy Room would go on to release the Air Jordan 5 “Ice Blue” in 2019, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Freeze Out” in 2021, the Air Jordan 7 “New Sheriff in Town” in 2022, and the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Home” and “Away” pack in 2024.
Reports also suggested that another Trophy Room x Air Jordan collaboration was planned for Fall 2025 before ultimately being canceled. Alongside his statement, Jordan also unveiled images of the canceled Trophy Room x Air Jordan 6 duo. The unreleased pairs include a light blue colorway with red accents and a second purple-based version with red and gold detailing, both featuring Trophy Room branding at the heel and Michael Jordan’s signature on the lateral side.
While Marcus Jordan’s next move remains unknown, the announcement marks the end of an era for Trophy Room in its current form. The future of the business and any potential rebranding efforts have yet to be revealed.
