Jordan Brand is continuing to build its presence in baseball, officially welcoming Munetaka Murakami to its growing roster of athletes.

The 26-year-old Chicago White Sox slugger joins the Jumpman family as one of the sport’s rising global names, bringing a mix of power, personality, and style to the brand’s baseball push. In his first season in the league, Murakami has quickly stood out at the plate while also bringing a confident, fashion-forward presence off the field.

Murakami’s addition gives Jordan Brand another strong connection to the next generation of baseball fans, especially as the brand continues to expand its reach across global markets. A standout from one of the world’s most influential baseball regions, Murakami brings both on-field performance and cultural relevance to the Jumpman roster.

“Joining Jordan Brand is a dream come true,” Murakami said. “The Jumpman stands for greatness, confidence and pushing beyond limits — values that have inspired me throughout my career. To be part of a family that includes some of the world’s greatest athletes is an incredible honor, and I’m excited to represent Jordan Brand on the field and help grow the game of baseball for the next generation.”

Murakami is also expected to debut the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” baseball cleats, bringing one of Jordan Brand’s most recognizable colorways to the diamond. The on-field moment ties directly into the brand’s MLB All-Star Week plans in Philadelphia, where the “True Blue” theme will also appear through fan activations and early access opportunities around the city.

The announcement also arrives as Jordan Brand brings its MLB All-Star Week energy to Philadelphia. At the brand’s World of Flight retail location, fans will be able to customize exclusive Jordan apparel through special in-store experiences. Jordan Brand will also roll out a True Blue-themed ice cream truck around Philly, giving fans a chance to receive early access to the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” ahead of its return.

For more on Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 11 "Space Jam" is expected to return in December.
