Lacoste is revisiting one of its more unexpected collaborations, officially unveiling the Lacoste x Godzilla 2.0 collection as the partnership enters its second chapter. Following a strong debut in September 2025, the project returns with an expanded lineup, new graphics, and a refined visual direction anchored in a navy-heavy palette.

This latest installment leans further into the crossover’s identity, blending Lacoste’s heritage crocodile with Toho’s iconic “King of the Monsters.” The collection introduces updated character treatments, including a reworked crocodile featuring Godzilla’s dorsal spikes, alongside new designs like a Godzilla head motif inspired by Shinjuku landmarks and a Mechagodzilla pairing that adds a more futuristic edge. A broader “Team Godzilla” graphic also brings together multiple characters across select pieces, expanding the storytelling across the range.

Visually, the campaign is anchored by a striking face-off between the Lacoste crocodile and Godzilla, a concept that carries through both the promotional material and in-store installations. That same display will be brought to life physically at Lacoste’s new Shinjuku location, giving the project a more immersive presence beyond the product itself.

The apparel offering remains the focus, with staple pieces like tees and polos returning, now joined by new categories including sweat shorts and tote bags. The additions keep the collection grounded in everyday wear while still leaning into the playful nature of the collaboration.

The release also coincides with the opening of the new Lacoste Shinjuku store on April 25, where exclusive items and early releases will be available. Select members will gain access even earlier through a pre-release beginning April 23, adding a limited aspect to the rollout.

Currently, no U.S. release details have been announced, suggesting the collection may remain limited to Japan for now.

With Lacoste x Godzilla 2.0, the partnership builds on its initial momentum with a more developed concept, broader product range, and a stronger emphasis on visual storytelling—setting the tone for what could become a recurring collaboration between the two.
