JJJJound Joins the New Balance 1890 Movement
Montreal's JJJJound is the latest institution to help New Balance push the 1890 sneaker design.
Joe Freshgoods recently showcased the fervor surrounding the viz-tech proposal, dropping a total of three eye-catching colorways inspired by his favorite hip-hop music videos from the 1990s and early 2000s. Justin R. Saunders and team, however, are going with much tamer ensembles for their New Balance 1890 collaboration. A first-look posted to social media reveals the ABZORB-cushioned silhouette in a straightforward black-and-white color scheme. Hits of off white and silver join the mix, but, like so many other JJJJound sneaker collaborations, the NBs are left predominantly simple. "JJJJound" text replaces traditional branding on the lateral heel.
Stay tuned for firm release details, which will likely be confirmed by the Canadian design studio throughout May.
