New Balance Debuts the 950 With Cooper Flagg and Family

New Balance has introduced the 950, a new court-inspired sneaker that blends basketball heritage with everyday style.

Rooted in mid-’80s hoops design, the New Balance 950 brings a vintage court feel into a more modern lifestyle space. The silhouette is built with a streamlined profile, wide toe box, and premium materials, including leather and suede, giving it a clean look that can move easily from sport-inspired styling to everyday wear.

Basketball details remain central to the design. The 950 features a puffed “N” logo, a basketball-inspired tongue label, two-piece foxing, lace closure, leather upper, and rubber outsole. Together, those elements give the model a familiar court identity while keeping the overall look simple and wearable.

To introduce the sneaker, New Balance has tapped athlete Cooper Flagg, who appears in the global campaign alongside his brothers. Centered on family, basketball, and authenticity, the campaign adds a personal layer to the launch while positioning the 950 as an off-court sneaker for the next generation.

“This campaign means a lot to me because I got to share it with my brothers. It doesn’t get more real than that,” says Cooper. “Growing up, everything for us was about family and basketball, so bringing those two things together with New Balance felt natural. The 950 has become my go-to off the court. It’s comfortable, easy to wear, and just fits my style.”

The campaign will roll out through video, still photography, and social storytelling, highlighting the 950 in everyday settings and showing how the silhouette fits naturally across sport, lifestyle, and culture.

The New Balance 950 will launch globally on July 1, 2026, via NewBalance.com and select retailers for $120.
