The New Balance 991v2 Gets Two Soft-Hit Stunners

New Balance’s newer lifestyle models continue to widen the brand’s reach, but the Made in UK line still holds a different kind of weight. It is where the materials, craftsmanship, and quieter color stories tend to do most of the talking, and the New Balance 991v2 is quickly becoming one of the strongest examples of that approach.

Next up for the silhouette are two softly styled releases in "Sea Glass" and "Mahogany Rose," both carrying the kind of muted, premium palette that would not look out of place in a Kith lookbook. Neither pair needs much flash. Instead, each leans on tonal suede, breathable mesh, grey accents, and the model’s updated tooling to keep things clean and wearable.

The New Balance 991v2 "Sea Glass" brings a pale green finish across the suede overlays, paired with matching mesh underlays and soft grey detailing throughout. Silver "N" logos add a classic New Balance touch at the midfoot, while a cream and white midsole helps give the shoe a slightly aged, easygoing finish. Navy hits through the midsole add just enough contrast without interrupting the calm palette.

The New Balance 991v2 "Mahogany Rose" follows the same formula in a warmer direction. Soft pink suede panels cover the upper, matched by tonal mesh and grey laces, eyelets, and branding. Like the "Sea Glass" pair, it keeps the same cream midsole setup, giving the release a vintage-leaning balance that fits neatly into the brand’s wider Made in UK language.

Underfoot, both pairs retain the 991v2’s updated sole unit, pairing ABZORB SBS cushioning with a more modern shape than the original 991. It is still recognizably rooted in New Balance heritage, but the refreshed tooling gives the model a sharper, more current feel.
