New Balance’s Made in USA Summer 2026 lineup continues to lean into what the brand does best, with two more grey-based releases joining the calendar for June. The New Balance 992 “Shadow Grey” and New Balance 1300 “Slate Grey” both arrive on June 11, offering two distinct takes on the brand’s most familiar color language.
The New Balance 992 “Shadow Grey” is the more layered of the two. Instead of relying on the model’s usual suede-heavy build, this pair brings in faded grey leather across the quarter, paired with Turtledove mesh underlays and darker Team Away Grey nubuck around the toe, mudguard, and heel. The result still feels very much like a classic 992, but the material mix gives it a slightly more weathered, broken-in feel than a standard grey Made in USA release.
The New Balance 1300 “Slate Grey” keeps things even more vintage-minded. A lighter grey leather build sets the tone, while off-white mesh, cream heel detailing, and hairy suede hits on the “N” logo and collar add a softer, older feel. The exposed foam tongue and retro-style New Balance 1300 tag push that archival look even further, giving the pair a proper late-80s runner energy without feeling overly dressed up.
Together, the pack works because neither pair tries too hard. The 992 brings a slightly darker, more textured take on grey, while the 1300 goes cleaner and more nostalgic. Both sit squarely within the wheelhouse of New Balance’s Made in USA program, where small changes in materials, tone, and aging details can do most of the heavy lifting.
The New Balance 992 “Shadow Grey” and New Balance 1300 “Slate Grey” are both expected to release on June 11 via NewBalance.com.
In other footwear news, the Nike Kobe 5 "Dodgers" will release this summer.
