It's 2001 Again With These Re-Shaped Nike Air Force 1 Releases
Nike Sportswear is going all-in on reusing the 2001 shape of the Air Force 1 as part of the silhouette's 45th anniversary celebration in 2027. Rightfully kicked off by NIGO, the '01 version of the "presidential" design is expected in handfuls of colorways over the next year—many of them rooted in the simple color-blocking of yesteryear.
The full scope of the Swoosh's efforts have yet to be seen, but a number of European retailers have provided detailed photos of some of the offerings scheduled between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
As aforementioned, Bruce Kilgore's iconic Nike Basketball entry heavily favors straightforward, two-tone color executions across its plumper, more premium upper. Some of the styles that've surfaced thus far include Air Force 1 '01s in "Light Army/Black," navy-grey, maroon-white, and notorious "Triple Black."
Enjoy e-commerce shots of upcoming AF-1s ahead. Pairs should land via Nike.com and a variety of global retailers with a $140 price tag.
