Nike Basketball is digging back into its late-’90s archive for 2027, with Jason Kidd’s Nike Zoom Flight V “White/Midnight Navy” expected to return in celebration of the silhouette’s 30th anniversary.
Originally released in 1997, the Zoom Flight V quickly became one of the more recognizable Nike Basketball models of its era. Famously worn by Jason Kidd during his early NBA years, the shoe stood out with its wavy overlays, jewel-style side panel, and aggressive Zoom-cushioned tooling — a design language that still feels unmistakably tied to the late ’90s.

The returning “White/Midnight Navy” colorway keeps things true to its original look, pairing a white leather base with deep navy overlays across the lower panels, collar, and branding. Silver-grey accents appear around the eyelets and piping, while the iridescent jewel window on the side adds one of the model’s signature details.
The Zoom Flight V also arrives as part of a broader 2027 anniversary moment for Nike Basketball, with the model turning 30 years old next year. While several ’90s hoops silhouettes have had moments in recent years, the Flight V’s return should land especially well with collectors who remember Kidd’s original run in the pair.
The Nike Zoom Flight V “White/Midnight Navy” is expected to return in 2027, with. the "Lapis" pair arriving in the Spring 2027 season. Release details and official images are expected to follow in the months ahead.
For more on returning classics, the Air Jordan 16 "Ginger" is back in 2027.
