The Swoosh's Department of Nike Archives (DNA) is so expansive that it could take up multiple football fields. The brand reissues faithful retros of some of its most important footwear designs every so often, with some models simply returning to the spotlight in pieces. The iconic Cortez is currently a mainstay within the company's catalog of offerings, but it's also inspired a surprising item: a women's wristlet.
Designed in the same vein as the Air Force 1 Wallet, the Nike Icon Cortez Wristlet allows diehard and casual fans of the vintage running model to enjoy the sneaker even when not wearing it on feet. The product takes on a traditional wristlet's shape and size, with a swoosh logo stitched onto the front of the item. Faux snakeskin appears on Nike's signature emblem, as well as the off-white backdrop. Below, the reinforcing panel brings the Cortez's foam wedge accent to the bag.
Elsewhere, a robust zipper enclosure appears on the top of the wristlet. A loop and strap come together on the product's left-hand side. The latest sneaker-inspired wristlet from the Swoosh indulges in a "Pale Ivory/Picante Red/Light British Tan" color scheme reminiscent of the "Sail/Light Orewood Brown/Metallic Silver/Earth" Cortez that released in 2023.
The next batch of wristlets should hit Nike.com throughout summer for $40. While you wait, catch up on all remaining Jordan Release Dates in 2025.
