The mending of Deion Sanders' relationship with Nike, Inc. has been fruitful. In addition to supporting the former professional dual athlete in his coaching endeavors, the partnership has celebrated his legacy through original and modern product reissues and launches. Come Summer 2026, Sanders' beloved Air DT Max '96 releases as a low-top.
Unveiled to the world by Netherlands-based sample collector ATTAPREBOUND, the model's sample features the original silhouette's iconic "Black/Metallic Gold/White" color palette in a less bulky package. The "tears" one the sidewalls reach up to the collar and are accompanied by matte golden swooshes and zig-zag accents.
The Nike Air DT Max '96 Low follows the same blueprint as the Air More Uptempo Low, a modified edition of a classic Nike Basketball offering.
Sanders' low-top sneaker is scheduled to debut select shops on Friday, May 1. A via Nike.com release is also expected, with a date and time to be confirmed. Check out kids' pairs of the inaugural style ahead.
