Another "Heat Map" Makeover Lands on the Nike Air Force 1
Bruce Kilgore's Nike Air Force 1 Low debuted in 1983, but it remains one of the brand's most-important sneakers today.
With spring finally underway, the "presidential" silhouette has been dressing up in more ensembles appropriate of the season. In addition to eye-catching patent leather finishes and Easter-ready makeovers, the AF-1 has popped up in a heat map-reminiscent style.
"Black" and "Racer Blue" hues divvy up real estate across the latest Air Force 1, with the former claiming most of the shoe. Laces, tongues, and inner lining deviate in a bold blue tone that helps create the meteorology-related connection. Hits of yellow, orange, and green join the mix around the heel and midsole, rounding out an eye-catching, conceptual take on the decades-old design.
