Nike Air Max 90 ESS+ “Cave Stone” Suits Up for Fall

While 2025 may be a quieter anniversary year for the Nike Air Max 90—overshadowed by Jordan Brand’s 40th and the Air Max 95’s 30th—the Tinker Hatfield-designed classic continues to deliver. Nike has been steadily pushing strong in-line releases for the silhouette, and the upcoming Air Max 90 ESS+ “Cave Stone” deserves attention.

Ideally suited for Fall, this new edition arrives in an all-leather, all-“Cave Stone” build that leans heavily into tonal dressing. Every panel, overlay, and sole component is coated in the muted brown shade, giving the shoe a clean, monochrome aesthetic. Pops of Adobe red at the tongue, heel, insole branding, and within the visible Air unit provide subtle contrast and just enough color to catch the eye.
