Nike Unveils Air Max 95 "Black Tongue" Pack in Paris; Releases in 2027
The Nike Air Max 95 silhouette is looking to stick around for at least another year following its blockbuster 30th anniversary in 2025.
As part of its Spring/Summer 2027 showroom during Paris Fashion Week®, the Swoosh unveiled handfuls of different, widely-experimental footwear projects still in development. Alligator-covered Goadome boots commanded attention, as did the numerous Women's-exclusives, but one proposal caught the attention of Air Max lovers more than other styles donning visible Air: a "Black Tongue" Air Max 95 Pack.
Although this isn't an official moniker from the Swoosh, the nickname captures the four pairs of similarly-colored, Big Bubbled sneakers. Instagram outlet @sneakerologue captured images of the quartet, showcasing four different 95s that bear resemblance to the mythical mita "Ueno Prototype" Air Max 95 from 2013. The shoes previewed in Paris forgo "Neon" flair in favor of red, blue, yellow, and pink accents, but one thing is identical to mita's project: pitch-black tongues.
The remainder of the upcoming Air Max 95 range sees the same greyscale layers along the profiles, making for timeless looks.
Enjoy early shots of the "Black Tongue" Air Max 95 Pack ahead. Pairs are expected to drop during Spring/Summer 2027 for $190 each.
