Nike's Air Max 95 might be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, but the silhouette is expected to continue the birthday festivities throughout 2026, returning in "Olympic" and other iconic looks next year.
According to Brendan Dunne of Complex, the beloved pair from 2004 will return between January and March 2026. The timeframe coincides with the next edition of the Winter Games, which will take place throughout parts of Italy. A return of the Olympics-inspired Air Max at the top of the year, then, makes sense.
The news arrives shortly after Dunne also shared that the "Black Border" AM95 from 1996 will return as part of the sneaker's ongoing milestone anniversary.

An original edition of the multi-colored ensemble included the Olympic rings' hues recreated across profile overlays and lace loops. A "White" forefoot guard, midsole, tongue, and inner lining set the stage for hits of vibrant "Chile Red," "Photo Blue," "Green," and "Yellow." Two such elements also opt for a simple "Black" tone, anchoring the colorful update. "Metallic Gold" animates swooshes at the lateral heel, nodding to the Games' highest honor.
As with other faithful bring-backs from the expansive Air Max 95 archive, the next "Olympic" release is expected to feature a Big Bubble Air unit underfoot. Special packaging and activations could also accompany the pair, which revert to '04 in a way that previous iterations didn't.
Official photos of the pair have yet to surface via authorized and unathorzed channels alike. The lead photo used in this article is of the original release and courtesy of Flight Club. The 2026 retro of the "Olympic" Air Max 95 should hit Nike.com for $190.
