Andre Agassi's iconic Nike Air Tech Challenge II from 1989 is set to release in a color scheme inspired by Marty McFly's self-lacing Nike Mag from Back to the Future. The pair is expected ahead of the 2026 US Open (Aug. 30-Sept. 13).
According to Sole Retriever, the special pair is clad in a "Photon Dust/White/Dusty Cactus/Picante Red/Sundial/Blue Tint" medley of tones. The latest take on the tennis model is expected to don a predominantly grey execution to match McFly's on-screen footwear style of choice. Speckled details appear along the profiles while Nike branding on the spine take after the Back to the Future kicks' blue finish.
It's quite possible that the launch of the thematic sneakers is accompanied by a theatric rollout. The Air Tech Challenge II isn't the first time the Swoosh conglomerate has referenced its mythical Nike Mag design across product. Nike Basketball has released a few styles over the years—most famously the Hyperdunk "Marty McFly" in 2008.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details and official product shots of the pair.
