Gary Payton’s Nike Air Zoom Flight “The Glove” is continuing its return to the spotlight, with the original “White/Poison Green” colorway now expected to release in Summer 2027.
First released in 1998, the model remains one of Nike Basketball’s most distinctive late-’90s creations. Built around Payton’s “The Glove” nickname, the shoe featured a zip-up shroud that covered the laces, giving the silhouette its sleek, wrapped-up look while nodding directly to his defensive reputation.

The returning “White/Poison Green” edition brings back one of the model’s original colorways, pairing a clean white shroud with black detailing across the toe, zipper line, and branding. Underneath, the inner bootie reveals bright Poison Green accents, adding a sharp pop of color to one of the shoe’s most recognizable setups.
The design also carries the aggressive tooling and futuristic shape that helped define Nike Basketball during the era, placing it alongside other late-’90s standouts tied to signature athletes and bold performance experimentation.
The Nike Air Zoom Flight “The Glove” “White/Poison Green” is expected to return in Summer 2027. More release details and official images should surface closer to launch. Until then you can enjoy a closer look at the 2013 pair below.
