NIKE, Inc. continues to celebrate China and the greater region with special-edition releases. The Air Jordan line has a number of commemorative retros landing in Asia before summer ends, while Nike Basketball has another capsule dedicated to the China High School Basketball League (CHBL).
Made up of elite players from across the country, the CHBL has become one of high school hoops' more-exciting proving grounds. The late Kobe Bryant was a vocal proponent for supporting the Chinese league, and the Swoosh has maintained a strong connection to the tournament over the years.
There's no rhyme or reason to CHBL-inspired product, but this year's lineup sees eye-catching shades of orange, purple, blue, and pink. Fan-favorites like the Sabrina 3 and G.T. Cut 4 join the mix, with the latter silhouette opting for an extraterrestrial makeover. Both pairs see thematic branding on the spine and footbeds, differentiating them from other inline styles from the Swoosh's Basketball efforts. The pairs could launch while Sabrina Ionescu is touring China with Nike between April 6-9.
Enjoy official photos of the newly-surfaced pairs ahead. Expect other "CHBL" styles to land via Nike.com soon.
