Nike Introduces the HyperKO III Boxing Boot Soon
Nike, Inc. may be best known for its dominance of running, basketball, and U.S. football, but the Oregon-based conglomerate has its hands in many more disciplines than this. One such space is boxing.
The highest level of the sport has been widely-usurped by big name fashion labels like AMIRI and Off-White™, but traditional sportswear brands like the Swoosh continue to develop accessible product that performs. The latest arrives in the form of the HyperKO III, the third installment in a beloved series that debuted in the early 2010s. Oft-associated with Manny Pacquiao, the boot revolutionized what was fathomable within the world of boxing footwear; it featured innovative FlyWire technology, which delivered a lightweight, better-fitting product without sacrificing performance.

The original HyperKO was the gold standard of boxing boots—so much so that a proper sequel didn’t land until 2020. The franchise’s third iteration has come along sooner, but still has big shoes to fill given the original’s persisting fandom.
Tech specs are still under wraps, but visually, the HyperKO III seems like a mash-up between its two predecessor. Sleeker than the OG, but not as barebones as the HyperKO II, the third edition sees plastic overlays across the entirety of its upper. The design choice likely provides containment while offering a striking visual when compared to traditional boxing boots. A lockdown strap returns to the vamp, nodding to the pairs popularized by Pacquiao. Underfoot, multi-directional traction appears on the thin sole unit, ensuring boxers have enhanced ring-feel.
Enjoy official product shots of the third Hyper KO boot ahead. Pairs are expected to release through a number of retailers beginning on Sunday, March 1.
