Beloved by basketball players worldwide, the Nike Hyperdunk 2017 gained mainstream fame through its inclusion in Virgil Abloh’s iconic “THE TEN” collection. Though releases of the silhouette have been sporadic since then, the model makes a quiet yet impactful return for the Lunar New Year 2025 with a clean and understated design.
The “Lunar New Year” iteration opts for simplicity over the intricate details often associated with holiday-themed sneakers. An off-white woven upper is complemented by tonal suede panels on the heel and tongue, creating a refined foundation. The design comes to life with striking red accents on the rubber tread and smooth plasticized Swooshes, while gilded finishes on the upper eyestays and an Asian-inspired HD logo on the tongue add a touch of festivity.
Currently available at select retailers in Asia, the Nike Hyperdunk 2017 EP “Lunar New Year” has yet to be confirmed for a wider release outside Greater China. For updates on a potential stateside drop, keep an eye on our Nike Release Dates Calendar
