As the Nike Kobe line continues to gain momentum with retro releases and new takes on archival models, early mock-ups surfaced in July 2025 for a Kobe 3 Low clad in a “Purple Venom/Black” color scheme. On Feb. 5, 2026, the Swoosh confirmed the rumored style as part of its "Warning Label" Collection for the NBA's 2026 All-Star Weekend.
The Protro retains the silhouette’s signature lattice-structured TPU shell, with rich purple mesh underlays and matching accents throughout. The heel swoosh and branding elements elsewhere deviate slightly, but don't detract from the model's purple-heavy execution., tongue, and outsole branding. Tooling underfoot is consistent with previous Kobe 3 designs.
Originally worn by Bryant during the 2007–08 season, the Kobe 3 has seen limited retro attention compared to its successors. However, with the Kobe line expanding and All-Star Weekend serving as a key storytelling moment, a reimagined low-top version of the Kobe 3 is a fitting addition.
The brand has confirmed that the "Warning Label" Kobe 3 Protro Low is launch exclusively in Los Angeles at Nike The Grove (189 The Grove Dr Suite Q - 30) on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 12 p.m. PST.
