Nike Mind 001 “Old Royal” Dips Nike’s Mule in Deep Blue

Nike’s most talked-about mule continues its steady rollout with the Nike Mind 001 “Old Royal,” a women’s-exclusive colorway expected to arrive on July 2.

Since its debut, the Nike Mind 001 has quickly become one of the more unusual success stories in Nike’s current lifestyle lineup. Part recovery slide, part futuristic slip-on, the model has managed to build interest well beyond its oddball shape, appearing on athletes before and after games while repeatedly selling through new drops.

This latest Nike Mind 001 “Old Royal” keeps the silhouette clean and tonal. The upper arrives in a deep royal blue finish, covering the sculpted foam body, the perforated forefoot panel, and the raised collar in a near-uniform fashion. Unlike some earlier colorways that used contrasting foam nodes underfoot, this pair leans into a more monochrome setup, with the sole’s rounded cushioning pods shifting slightly darker into a Midnight Navy-style finish.

The design itself remains the main talking point. The Nike Mind 001 uses a clog-like upper with ventilation across the forefoot and sidewalls, while small metallic Swooshes add a sharper break against the matte blue build. Inside, visible “Nike Mind” and “Mind Science Department” text keep the model tied to Nike’s ongoing wellness-minded concept, while the podded outsole continues to give the shoe its unmistakable look from above, below, and side-on.
