Nike’s experimental Mind series continues to grow, with another colorway of the neuroscience-inspired silhouette arriving soon. The Nike Mind 002 "Football Grey" introduces a fresh pastel take on the brand’s sensory-focused design heading into the Spring/Summer season.
Developed under Nike’s Science Department banner, the Mind line explores how footwear can influence mood, awareness, and focus through sensory feedback. Rather than leaning on traditional performance narratives, the project centers on neurological responses — using texture, pressure points, and calming visual cues to create a more mindful wearing experience.
The Nike Mind 002 "Football Grey" arrives dressed in muted grey tones across its sculpted upper, emphasizing the model’s sleek and minimal form. Perforations span the forefoot and midfoot, revealing a vibrant underlayer beneath the surface, while a polished metallic Swoosh introduces a subtle contrast along the sidewalls.
Beneath the foot sits the silhouette’s most distinctive element: a grid of rounded pods across the outsole designed to stimulate sensory interaction with each step. The textured nodes create a massaging sensation as the wearer moves, reinforcing the Mind program’s focus on tactile engagement and neurological response.

Inside the shoe, branding for Nike Mind and the Science Department appears on the insoles, further cementing the model’s experimental positioning within the brand’s lineup.
The Nike Mind 002 “Football Grey” is expected to release during the Spring/Summer 2026 season in both men’s and women’s sizing. Official Nike.com release details have not yet been confirmed.
