Nike continues to breathe new life into its turn-of-the-century techwear catalog, with the Nike Shox R4 remaining a standout silhouette in the resurgence. Following the reissue of the classic “Black/Gold” colorway in early 2025, the Swoosh is set to roll out a new variation of the style for Fall —this time in a soft and stylish “Soft Pearl/Metallic Gold” combo.
This upcoming release keeps the blueprint mostly intact, swapping out the stark black seen on its predecessor for an understated pink-beige “Soft Pearl” hue. It coats the upper, mesh tongues and liners, rubber soles, and even the Swoosh, delivering a softer aesthetic while maintaining the aggressive, aerodynamic shape of the original.
Metallic Gold panelling remains the central visual element, arching across the sidewalls for a luxurious contrast. The same regal finish hits the Shox columns underfoot, adding a flash of gold to the heel and reinforcing the model’s signature identity.
With the original R4s becoming more popular over the past year—and even popping up in performance settings and celebrity circles—this “Soft Pearl/Metallic Gold” edition balances heritage design with a fashion-forward colorway that should resonate across audiences.
