On April 24, 1996, the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) was founded in the U.S. Since then, hundreds of women have showcased just how important support for girls in sports is.
Ahead of the League's latest season, Nike Basketball is expected to unveil a special collection that celebrates the WNBA's 30th anniversary.
Instagram user @prm.cotd recently took to social media to share in-hand looks of a G.T. Cut 4 prepped for the occasion. Likely part of a multi-pair lineup, the sneaker features a split blue-and-red finish across the upper, with the former tone presented with an all-over pattern throughout the lateral profile. The number "96" is subtly placed on the pair's red-colored medial forefoot, while its counterpart sees "this ball, this game, this hoop is ours" messaging. The Greater Than design also features official WNBA logos on the spine, further strengthening the partnership between the Swoosh and the Women's League.
Enjoy detailed shots of the special G.T. Cut 4 ahead. Pairs should launch via Nike.com before September.
