It doesn't seem like Neymar Jr. will make it onto Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil squad for the 2026 World Cup™ tournament, but that isn't stopping fans from checking out the footballer's every move. Recently, the 34-year-old star was spotted wearing a Batman-branded pair of PUMA football boots during training with Santos FC.
What's particularly interesting about Neymar's footwear choice is that the pair of boots is from 2022. The Future Z formed part of a multi-item collaboration between the Big Cat Brand and DC Comics for The Batman film that premiered in the same year. The co-branded pair features a black-and-red color scheme and numerous bat motifs across the performance-first build.
PUMA's recent "City Series" Football Boot Pack for the 2026 World Cup™ includes the brand's current proposals for the pitch, but Neymar has decided to bring some playfulness back into his game. He still plays in the world-renowned FUTURE 9, but the Batman-inspired pair reminds the world that he's still tapped in with the joy that the sport's been widely missing.
Away from the world of PUMA, Nike's $150 Tiempo Ligera Pro continues to surprise audiences for its price-to-performance value.
