Ronnie Fieg recently shared that he has a strict limit to his daily usage of the social media platform formerly known as "Twitter." Recently, he used a bit of his self-appointed allotment of time to post a picture of a Kith x Salomon XT-EVO collaboration.
The newly-previewed pair, which features a yellow, red, and blue color scheme, and likely forms part of a multi-pair capsule, is one of the latest entries to the Salomon Sportstyle roster. The model consists of the same iconic tooling seen on the popular XT-6, but includes a different upper construction from the designs on which Fieg and team previously collaborated.
A technical base layer informed by trail racing reprises its role, setting the stage for a combination of reinforced textile and plastic overlays. The build "evolves" the aesthetic of Salomon's most-recognizable XT styles, which surely inspired the new sneaker's XT-EVO name.
Much about Kith's take on the Salomons is still under wraps, but that's expected to change soon. Product should be exclusive to Kith's digital channels and retail locations.
