Westside Gunn Previews Alternate "Blue" Spider-Man Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Web

Westside Gunn’s Saucony partnership is moving into its next chapter, and the Buffalo artist used Paris Fashion Week to preview one of the most animated projects from the link-up so far: the Westside Gunn x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Web.

First shown in a bold red-based colorway, the model reworks the ProGrid Omni 9 with a web-like TPU cage spread across the upper, giving the early-2000s runner a far more graphic, comic-inspired look. Since then, a second blue-based version has also surfaced, suggesting the project may extend beyond the single red pair first seen on foot.

The red edition leans heavily into the theme, pairing a bright red mesh base with black web overlays, white Saucony branding, metallic silver accents at the toe, and blue hits worked into the rear midsole. Westside Gunn’s Griselda scorpion logo appears at the lateral heel, tying the pair back to his larger creative universe.

The alternate blue colorway flips the energy while keeping the same visual language. Royal blue takes over the mesh base and midsole, with red webbing stretched across the upper, white Saucony logos, silver toe detailing, and black contrast through the lower overlay system. Together, the two pairs feel like companion pieces rather than simple color swaps, each carrying the same animated web theme through a different lens.

The project follows Westside Gunn’s previous work with Saucony, including the ProGrid Triumph 4 “Super Flygod,” while continuing his push into more expressive, character-driven footwear. The ProGrid Omni 9 Web itself also appears to be an important piece of Saucony’s future retro-runner plans, adding a fresh molded overlay system to one of the brand’s technical archive models.

For now, release details for the Westside Gunn x Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Web have not been confirmed. Given the early preview timing, a release sometime in 2027 appears likely, though it remains unclear whether both the red and blue colorways will reach retail.
