Vans is preparing another take on its pearl-covered Old Skool 36, this time dressing the archival silhouette in a bright red colorway.
First unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, a closer look at the pair shows a mix of red canvas and darker red suede across the upper, finished with white contrast stitching and cream-colored laces. The shoe’s standout detail is its pearl and crystal embellishment, which runs along the white Jazz Stripe before continuing across the toe, tongue and heel.

The aged treatment carries onto the sole unit, where scuffed and darkened detailing gives the otherwise clean white midsole a worn-in finish. Silver eyelets and smaller metallic studs sit alongside the varying pearl sizes, adding another layer of detail without changing the familiar Old Skool 36 shape.
The red colorway continues Vans’ successful run of pearlized Old Skool 36 releases, following other versions of the treatment, including the navy colorway released earlier this year. The recurring pearl detailing has quickly become one of the more distinctive looks applied to the archival model.
A firm release date has yet to be announced, though the Vans Old Skool 36 Pearlized “Red” is currently expected to arrive in late 2026 or early 2027, via Vans.com . More release details should follow in the coming months.
