The adidas Superstar has always lived comfortably between sport, streetwear, and style, but its latest women’s release pushes the classic Shell Toe into a more dressed-up lane.
Set to release later this year, this new adidas Superstar keeps the model’s most recognizable colorway intact, pairing a clean white base with black branding at the heel and tongue. From a distance, the pair reads like a familiar white-and-black Superstar, but the closer details give it a much flashier finish.
The biggest change arrives across the side panels, where adidas swaps the usual leather Three Stripes setup for a fishnet-style overlay. The lattice pattern runs across the quarter panel, with black Three Stripes worked underneath for contrast. Small rhinestone-like studs are then placed throughout the netted section, adding a jewelry-inspired finish to one of adidas’ most timeless silhouettes.
The front half of the shoe stays closer to tradition, with white leather eyestays, matching laces, and the signature rubber shell toe. A white midsole and outsole keep the base clean, while a black leather heel tab and black Trefoil branding round out the classic Superstar look.

It’s a simple shift, but a smart one. Rather than rebuilding the Superstar from the ground up, adidas leans into the model’s familiar shape and lets the texture carry the update. The result feels part Shell Toe, part night-out sneaker, and part early-2000s accessory styling.
The adidas Superstar “Fishnet” is expected to release later this year via adidas.com and select retailers.
