As one of the most iconic sneaker designs of all-time, the Adidas Superstar has endured the test of time with a healthy mix of simple, inline styles and limited, high-profile collaborations. For the Originals team's latest proposal, the classic shell-toe gets a green snakeskin makeover.
Officially clad in a "Core Green/Core Black/Gold Metallic" color scheme, the pair is exclusively offered in Women's sizing. Akin to some previously-seen Adidas Skateboarding options, the impending Superstar II features a pitch-dark rubber toe cap and sole unit. These design choices allow for the contrasting upper—which features faux reptilian scales in a green finish—to revel in the spotlight. Profile 3-Stripes and Achilles' heel panels revert to a "Core Black" tone, while branding on the later component and top of the tongue round out the style in shimmering gold.
Together, each aforementioned element helps cement the Three Stripes' design as a lifestyle option long-after its day's as professional basketball's go-to sneaker.
