The U.S. Men’s National Team may wear Nike on matchday, but adidas had a strong presence across Seattle during the team’s 2-0 win over Australia.

Before kickoff, adidas athlete Trinity Rodman brought out the adidas Trionda match ball, giving the brand an early on-field moment before the game even began. The Trionda, adidas’ latest World Cup-ready match ball, has been a major part of the brand’s global football push, and its appearance ahead of the USMNT match only added to that visibility.

adidas also had a style moment through Ciara, who handled the pre-match coin toss while wearing Brody King’s Brain Dead x adidas Japan High collaboration. The tall black-and-white pair brought a more fashion-driven adidas presence to the pitch, standing out alongside the usual matchday visuals.

Once the game started, the Three Stripes continued to show up in a more traditional football sense. Twenty-one-year-old Alex Freeman scored an impressive header for the United States while wearing the adidas F50 Hyperfast Elite “Road to Glory” boots, adding another on-pitch highlight for the brand during the win.

Off the field, adidas’ presence was just as visible. Ahead of the match, the American Outlaws gave away hundreds of 1994 U.S. Denim jerseys to fans, bringing one of the most iconic adidas-era U.S. kits back into the spotlight. The retro design was spotted throughout Seattle across supporters, with Jameis Winston also seen wearing the classic look.

The 1994 denim kit remains one of the most recognizable jerseys in U.S. soccer history, and its return around a modern USMNT match gave adidas a nostalgic foothold in a game officially dressed by Nike.

Nike still owns the current USMNT kits, but between the Trionda official match ball, Rodman’s pre-match appearance, Ciara’s adidas footwear moment, Freeman’s F50 goal, and the wave of 1994 denim jerseys across the city, adidas made sure the Three Stripes were hard to miss in Seattle.
