adidas Honors "Azzurri" Heritage With '70s Italy Home Jersey Remake
Since early November 2025, adidas Football has been celebrating "the beautiful game" in ways to build anticipation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament, which kicks off mid-June 2026. The Three Stripes has yet to reveal its Away shirts for the more than 20 countries it sponsors, but it continues to offer nostalgic collections for those looking to relive past glory.
To this front, the company has produced and unveiled a remake of the Italy National Football Team's Home jersey from throughout the 1970s.
The shirt, made in partnership with the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC), draws inspiration from a time period that was pivotal to the "Azzurri"—one some consider the "golden age" of Italian football. The top is constructed to capture the essence of the '70s; fabric, trims, and logos are meticulously crafted to resemble that of vintage product, abandoning the modern design of the 2026 World Cup™ Italy Home Jersey.

As has been the case with some of the Three Stripes' most celebrated kits in history, Trefoil branding appears on the right chest, infusing adidas heritage before the introduction of the Badge of Sport logo into the piece. A blend of quality materials gives the '70s remake a different, but comfortable fit—one that could be mistaken for a much more expensive crewneck sweatshirt. The slim fit jersey, then, looks in place at any Home match or any street fashion scene.
