Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Converse SHAI 001 "Steel" Releases June 11

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his Oklahoma City Thunder squad are getting ready to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA's 2026 Western Conference Semi-Finals. Ahead of the occasion, the superstar's Converse Basketball has unveiled a premium "Steel" edition of the SHAI 001 signature silhouette.

As the world awaits for the Converse SHAI 002, SGA and the One Star Brand continue to explore different material treatments on their first original silhouette together. All of the performance-first elements that've made the SHAI 001 a hit amongst hardcore hoopers—forefoot Zoom Air, radial traction, etc.—return on the elevated take, but the "Steel" makeover further proves that the sneaker is right at home within fashion-friendly spaces, too.

The colorway features a metallic molded leather upper and leather-wrapped heel overlay, which deliver a reflective finish that plays with light from every angle. A metallic foil sockliner print continues the "Steel" theme, while the debossed tongue logos keep things elegant. The premium SHAI 001 arrives with a cotton dustbag branded with a metallic logo.

The "Steel" pair of SGA's first signature shoe releases via Converse.com and a limited selection of retailers on Thursday, June 11, for $150.
