Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and his Oklahoma City Thunder squad have moved on to the 2026 Western Conference Semi-Finals. There, the reigning NBA champions will take on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in a matchup many anticipate will favor SGA and company 4-0.
Ahead of Game 1 of the series, Converse Basketball has taken to social media to tease the second chapter of its partnership with Gilgeous-Alexander, a move that makes perfect sense given that the SHAI 001 debuted during the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
The Converse SHAI 002 remains under wraps as of writing, but it's expected to double down on the minimalist vision SGA brought to the design table for his first signature silhouette. It's possible that the new sneaker introduces a new cushioning solution, although that's yet to be determined.
